What EPC Benchmark gives you

• Comparisons with context

  See published figures for your postcode district, for the same property type in that district, for the same construction age band, and for the same type and age nationally.

• Transparent views, shown separately

  Each view reports its own property count, median and mean score, mean potential score and band distribution. The views are never merged into a single matched cohort.

• Recorded recommendations

  For the national property type and age archetype, see the most frequently recorded recommendations, described as associations rather than causal uplifts.

How it works

   Choose the attributes

   Pick a postcode district, property type and construction age band, then enter the score from the certificate. No address or full postcode is used.

   Load published aggregates

   Only the figures for that district and archetype are loaded, from aggregate files where groups below five properties are suppressed.

   Read each view separately

   Compare the score with each view's median in plain English, and review the recorded recommendations for the national archetype.

The EPC scale, A to G

EPC scores run from 1 to 100 and are grouped into bands. Higher scores mean better modelled energy performance in the assessment.
